AWARDED FLORENCE J. NELSON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
Rebecca Rhone, RN, CWS�, Clinical Coordinator and Certified Wound Specialist at the Center For Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Wilson County Hospital, Neodesha, Kansas, has been awarded the Florence J. Nelson Endowed Scholarship, as announced in the Kansas State Nurses Association. Becky is completing her bachelor�s degree, intending to pursue certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing. Her studies will enable her to improve the quality of wound care available to rural Kansans confined to hospitals, nursing home and private homes by providing consultation services to those facilities.
The Kansas Nurses Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Kansas State Nurses Association, created to receive and manage funds derived from memorials, gifts, and contributions, and to apply the income in order to support nursing education and scientific-activities through grants, loans and scholarships to individuals, organizations and institutions engaged in nursing education.
KSNA is the professional organization which represents the more than 29,000 Registered Nurses in Kansas. The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the only full-service professional organization representing the nation�s 2.6 million Registered Nurses through its 54 constituent associations. KSNA is a constituent member of ANA.
